ICICI Card Upgrade and/or LTF conversion

Hi,
After having ICICI Coral for many years, and ICICI Bank account, my friend wants to either convert this card to LTF or Upgrade to Rubyx/Sapphiro as LTF.
Phone banking agent said that upgrading will be chargeable and they cannot convert to LTF.
Is there any way to convert it? Does writing email help?

PS: The limit on the Coral Credit Card is 15 Lakhs and ITR is also more than sufficient even to easily get Emaralde .

If not, only option is to downgrade to ICICI Platinum Card.. which is LTF by default.

Being a Coral Card user, I didn't find this card as useful as considering a primary card. People, mostly are keeping this card for availing of ICICI discounts on EComm portals. Hence, your friend can degrade it to Platinum, with nothing harm in it. Thanks

I am suggesting LTF Platinum, you can directly message to FB/Twitter using your existing card number & ask for degradation. Later, if someone is using a degraded card rigorously, he can move upward.
