A huge mistake at ICICI end by keeping customer's sensitive data (expected around 35 lakhs) in a cloud storage which got compromised and accessed by hackers. It has been expected that data includes customer's name, phone number, dob, passport details, email id, home/current address, credit card number, bank account number, KYC details, passwords are leaked in this security breach.

There's still a lot of conflicting news around this on the internet and it looks like even some of the big news outlets are deleting their cover story on this matter. I can see some articles in Google search results but can't find anything in the actual site anymore!

I have not received any offical communication from the bank yet.
Did any one else get a direct notification from ICICI Bank about the data leak?

Yes. That's possible but hope they are transparent about any security breach later if not sooner. We can at least be careful
