Tbh, I don't believe anything related to Emeralde Credit Card on ICICI Website.

They announced Reduced fee waiver criteria to annual spends of 10 LPA which still hasn't been implemented in their latest MITC document dated 17th October. Nor it has been updated anywhere across the site or card upgrade offers; except the devaluation pdf which was circulated.

Their MITC mentions two Emeralde Private Credit Cards - Metal & Plastic, which doesn't make sense as their website only mentions of one private metal credit card.

The annual fees & spend-based fee waiver criteria of both plastic variants of Emeralde Private & Emeralde cards are the same, so what's the difference between them?

: )

That's updated. New one with 25th October one is live.

Interestingly the mitc talks about "Times Black ICICI Bank Credit Card" with 20K Joining Fee and 20K Annual Fee and "ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Credit Card" with 12K Joining and Annual Fee. Heard only ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card.
Were these cards intended to be offered in coming months or being offered currently?

This card is not worth paying for anything,

So then the real question is,
what's the criteria for ICICI Emerald PVC LTF ?
Or
what's the criteria for Emerald Private Metal Card ?
Quite a few got the ICIC Emerald PVC LTF as pre-approved offer and few could manage to get through branch with prior approval by negotiating.
It is mentioned in few posts that 3 Lakhs per month net salary credit and few mentioned as 4 LPM and few as 5 LPM as eligibility criteria for Emerald Plastic LTF. But it is also mentioned that few managed without even meeting this criteria with low relationship value. Even I am interested to know the exact criteria.

I've spoken to multiple people in ICICI,
Most don't even know about LTF sourcing of Emerald PVC,
Ast branch manager at my home branch told me 5Cr TRV

many people who've got it LTF here got through corporate tie up

Emeralde is not worth it, Emeralde Private is better and tougher to get.
Though paid upgrade offer for Emeralde is there for me for last 2 years, I did not take it as it is not worth it. Trying for Emeralde PVC card as LTF.

Few mentioned that after taking paid Emeralde pvc card, they got calls from ICICI within a month or two to upgrade to Emeralde Private by paying difference in Fee. So it may not be that tough either. Agree that getting Emerald Private card as LTF is the toughest as no one mentioned that they got it LTF so far.

My friend took Paid Emerald PVC,
he tried to get Emerald Private Metal from every which way, didn't happen

But yes so far no one has reported Emerald Private Metal LTF, but i take that as a good sign, no devaluation anytime soon hopefully

It is true that many does not know about LTF sourcing of Emerald PVC as they mentioned that Emerald card is not offered as LTF as first sentence. Subsequently after calling someone, they mentioned it as 2 CR TRV or 20 Lakhs per month salary credit as official criteria.

reward structure is different.

  1. PVC:
    1. 4RP on 100 spend except fuel
    2. 1RP on Utilities and Insurance
    3. Refund of up to ₹ 12000 for a maximum of two transactions every year on any flight / hotel / movie booking cancellation
    4. No renewal benefits upon annual fees paid.
  2. Metal
    1. 6RP on 200 spend except Tax, Fuel, and Rent payments
    2. Renewal benefit of 12500 RP on paying 14750 fees
    3. 1 RP = 1Rs
few more but still its not worth I feel with Unlimited Spa benefit being discontinued

Any way to get emeralde or any top level ICICI card as LTF if I am going to purchase term plan from ICICI soon? Like its a win win for them because most likely am going to buy anyways but would be better if I could strike some deal.

LMK if anyone know some ways

Check with your ICICI Bank Branch Manager and Negotiate that you will take term plan only if they can provide the card as LTF and see if it works.
