Guys,

It seems ICICI is introducing some new features to their net banking

Logging into the Net Banking by scanning QR code feom iMobile App ( from "Me" tab -> " Loginto Internet Banking" )
This is available only on Andriod App as of now, iOS is coming soon

Just now successfully logged into the net banking using QR code scan from iMobile App..

There may be more changes that may be in store.. we never know..

Expect some initial issues with respect to these changes...

These are good steps towards easier AND safer usage, instead of blindly forcing stupid password rules on users.
I wish all banks added support for TOTP instead of OTP in SMS.

This is correct.. am sick of changing passwords regularly and noting them somewhere for all these bank accounts..

ICICI is already implementing this in their ICICI direct account..
so they now rolled out it to ICICI Bank netbanking as well.. very refreshing to see this..
much easier login experience.. well done ICICI !!

Please use a password manager.
Good examples:
1password
Bitwarden
Dashlane
Keepass

for some odd reason, I dont believe in those password managers.. especially for banking passwords..
bit of an old school thought.. Still I want to be myself ..

Suggestion:
You can try keepass.
Totally offline password manager.
All passwords can be exported to a single encrypted file.
You will have to to setup your own way of sync manually if you want to.
I used Keepass for many years, I too was a paranoid for a long time.
I now use an open source password manager called bitwarden.

Why are you not using Face ID / Touch ID For Banking / Insurance / Financial applications? It's very secure.

I love the login methods available for ICICI Direct. Good that they incorporated the same for Net Banking.
Yes that is very correct..
ICICI even though it has its share of some issues in their tech solutions, their intent has been excellent.. that is to provide ease of use for their customers...

It is not about old & new, tech is something even rookies can teach and build something un-thinkable by Veterans :P
