ICICI not removing cibil requests

I was eligibile for a LTF Saphhiro credit card via almuni offer. I applied for it and in return received 2 cibil hard enquiries in 2 consecutive days. I emailed about this to ICICI customer care at customer.care@icicibank.com asking them to remove the duplicate cibil request and they simply refused to do it citing that I applied for the credit card and hence can't remove it. How can I escalate it further so I can avoid the duplicate cibil enquiry?

You can try by saying that you only applied for card once not twice. So how can they make 2 enquires. Just simply say if you guys not fix this I'll escalate to rbi(this actually worked for me 😂)

even hdfc makes 2 cibil enquiries. there is a separate thread on this, search for it.
but cibil doesn't get affected much.
but if you aoplied for a credit card and the enquiry is for a different product, then you should complain, otherwise no need to worry.
