IDFC Credit Card Payment on Due Date

My IDFC Credit Card Due Date is 4th Sep
I paid Bill on Early Morning of 4th
Still I recived a Message from Debt Team of IDFC
That My Payment is Delayed
I paid through upi Directly and Recived message of reciving Payment from idfc on 4th early morning only
Is This Mistake By IDFC or You have To pay bill before Due Date (Due Date is Also Not allowed)?

You can pay on bill due date. RBI has directed to banks to allow 3 days grace period after the due date before marking it as late. Further, generally bill payment date is considered in the statement and not the the date on which bank has received and reconciled the amount.

Other than this, you got confirmation that they received the payment. Most likely, you got an generic message to pay the bill.
