Sept 2023:
Applied for the new IDFC Vistara CC via C2C route using my Magnus! After KYC, my application was under the verification phase.
Then after a few days, I got a call from an agent from IDFC that he was about to arrive at my office for verification purposes. Since I was not there, I asked him to wait for 30 minutes or we could reschedule the verification process. He hung up the call then I got an SMS that my application was rejected in the same day evening.

Hi,
I have applied for a Vistara credit card and today I got a verification call from your team at my office. I told them that I was not available for the next 45 minutes and the guy hung up and didn't even bother to call me back. Now my application has been rejected. This is a serious issue for new applicants to face and having a lifetime enquiry of CIBIL for the mismanagement of your field team. Kindly rectify this and proceed with my application with the necessary steps. I'm so sure that the verification process didn't happen properly and my application was rejected for absurd reasons.

With reference to your concern, we would like to reiterate to you that the credit card application number 04139XXXXX has been rejected. Having said that, we would like to thank you for showing your interest in our credit card, but we regret to inform you that we cannot accommodate your request for an IDFC FIRST Bank credit card in accordance with the bank's internal policy requirements and credit acceptance parameters. The internal policy criteria are based on multiple parameters like bureau history, an existing bank relationship, customer demographics, and credit exposure, and the bank reserves the right to issue a credit card to the applicant based on an assessment of his/her credentials. The final decision is at the bank’s sole discretion, in line with the mentioned internal policies and notwithstanding the applicant's meeting eligibility criteria. We trust that this addresses your concern.

Hi there, I'm opening this thread for one more time. I need the exact reason for the rejection of my application.

I recently came to know about RBI guidelines for giving actual reasons
Here are instructions that you may check with RBI notification regarding Credit Card Operations of Banks:
In terms of the instructions contained in the circular DBOD.No.Leg.BC.65/09.07.005/2006-2007 dated March 6, 2007, banks have been advised that in case of all categories of loans irrespective of any threshold limits, including credit card applications, banks should convey in writing the main reason/reasons which in the opinion of the bank have led to the rejection of the loan applications. It is reiterated that banks should convey in writing the main reason/reasons which have led to the rejection of the credit card applications.
I will wait for 7 days at most for you to revert as you already did a hard enquiry by my CIBIL after that I will formally register a complaint with RBI.

Sir as we can see, we called for next 3 days for verification purpose as you didn't answer after multiple attempts we had to close the application.
Bhai itna jhoot, same day cancel karke ye funde pel the mujhe

Folks, I don't need the card but want to put them into line. If you have any alternative options then please do let me know.
