Impact on cibil of HSBC credit card payment reversal after due date

I own HSBC Liv+ credit card who payment due date is 15 of every month (+3 day grace extra). I paid my bill on CHEQ on 9th feb and it showed successfully paid. Later on 18th, i got the payment revered to my account. CHEQ intimated me that payment was reversed by HSBC without sharing any proof. I contacted hsbc and paid the bill again on 18th itself through billdesk website. On 19th a late payment fee was added to my account. The bill payment got credited on 21st and my late payment fee along with gst was revered automatically.
Then i contacted hsbc and asked them whether it will be reported to credit beureo and there answer was Yes.

I have a cibil of 788 and have 350+ payments completed without any single late payment so maintaining cibil score is my priority.

What option do i have as i dnt think it was my mistake in any way. Any insites or help is welcomed.

Did you make the effort of showing them that you had paid before due date and it was reversed. Cheq usually has that transaction info if you had paid before due date.

First, start an email trail. Explain the situation along with proof and wait for their reply. HSBC might help you. But you make a few mistakes,

1. Always check if your payment got settled a day before the due date. If not make another payment, you can easily get the extra payment back but you can't easily fix your CIBIL. If you also have an HSBC Savings Account, they auto credit extra payments every month.
2. Banks will usually never consider third-party app receipts for anything. They might if you can convince them but it's an uphill battle.
3. I was once able to convince Axis Bank for a late payment of Rs 2 (don't know why Axes bank helped me) and I haven't made a mistake since.
