Past few IRCTC train tickets keeps failing with Error 404 after the account gets debits.
Despite payment failures. Refund was exactly same until now.
Today I have noticed the refund amount is lesser than debit amount. Axis FK card.
Anybody facing the issue.
As per my experience, refund can be generated for 2 types of transactions.
Complete failure - amount debited from account but ticket not booked. In that case, you get complete refund without deduction of gateway charges.
Login to irctc portal. My Account (on Main menu) | My transactions | Failed transaction History to view all such transactions. Bookings attempted but PNR not issued fall under this category.
Normal refund after ticket is cancelled - irctc will credit only refund ticket amount and payment gateway charges will not be refunded. Login to irctc portal. My Account (on Main menu) | My transactions | Ticket cancellation History to view all such transactions.

Do you see a PNR Number for failed transactions for which you are saying gateway charges were deducted?
