Indusind Avios Credit Card ---- BA/Qatar

🚨 IndusInd Bank has RE-EVALUATED their Avios credit card! DRASTICALLY lower fees change the game completely. Read thread for details. #ccgeek #ccgeeks

1. MAJOR CHANGE: Fee structure SLASHED! Joining: ₹40K → ₹10K, Renewal: ₹10K → ₹5K

• Qatar variant: Now 20K welcome Avios (was 20K Avios + Gold tier)
Now 5K renewal Avios (was 5K + Gold tier with â‚ą3L Qatar spend)
• BA variant: Now 20K welcome Avios (was 55K Avios)
Now 5K renewal Avios (was 10K Avios)

2. The earning structure remains similar:
• 6 Avios per ₹200 at selected destinations (POS)
• 5 Avios per ₹200 on Qatar/BA websites
• 3 Avios per ₹200 on most other spends
• 1 Avios per ₹200 on utilities, education & govt payments

3. Who wins? Anyone who couldn't justify the previous ₹40K fee. The new card offers better cost-to-benefit ratio for most users, though frequent Qatar flyers might miss the automatic Gold tier benefit. BA cardholders get fewer welcome Avios but a much lower fee. 🔥

4. Doing the math: The effective reward rate can reach up to 3.75% on regular spends (including milestones).

For both New/existing customers can apply as Eligibility is.

For NTB - Card to card limit should be 2+
Salary should be 80k-90k+
Self business ITR 12 lakhs+

For existing - Indusind limit should be 1.50 lakhs+

I have the BA variant.

The earning structure is also much better now, particularly for regular (domestic) use as it was only 1 avios for Rs 200, now it is 3 per Rs 200.

Though not much, it is also giving rewards for Govt payments and utilities (previously none though it was not specified clearly).

It also gives milestone rewards - 18000 bonus avios for spending 8 lacs and another 18K avios for the next 8 lacs though it is not clear whether specified criteria would count for the milestone benefits.

The customer care is an issue though!
