Infinia points - two ways to ITC?

I find this confusing but have never used my Infinia for hotel bookings before (only flights) so I would appreciate your inputs. If I transfer my Infinia points to Club ITC green points, it transfers at 2 Infinia points = 1 green point. However, if I go to smartbuy and find the same ITC property, I am able to use 70% of my Infinia points at 1 rupee value (which is like 1 green point). Why would HDFC offer two options that differ so much in value? Is there something I'm missing?

there's 3rd option. Don't use the points for hotel booking. Pay the full amount, and then earn 33% back, now use those points for plane booking where u usually get 16.66% but now u use the 33% that u got from the hotel booking.

if by revenue u mean through the card full payment without using points then yes.

Think abt it, hotel points back would be 33%.

If you travel alot, then this effectively gives you 33% back on airplane lol iykwim.

What is the benefit to convert as ITC green points and used it?
