They absolutely can! They will and they do. Why do you think it is invite only? If it was so clearly going to be criteria based, then they would have shared the criteria openly don't you think? They would have earned a lot more by people striving for the criteria, some reaching it, most not.

No one can stop you from pursuing this. I just want to provide a bit of caution as to not get your hopes up too high... I hope for the best that your appeals go through and you get the upgrade you are looking for. Good luck!

Agree. Don't know why these days people just start ranting RBI, RBI, RBI Bamboo, bla bla.

Any little issue created, let's go to RBI. WTH

Thank you. Yes. I did get carried away in that initial msg of RBI.. RTI.. I will pursue it till MD Desk and call it a day.

I'm on MD desk now after chasing them for around 4 months now. More than 30 mails and 7-8 service requests on all 3 cc id's.

Dropped the mail to MD desk on 31st and they openend a ticket with priority.red on 2nd and got a reply from grivencered.cc but the signature mentioned Customer Service Manager, MD desk. Not sure if it's same.

The expected closure is 7th Jan for the request openeded.

4 months!! Wow. Hats off! Have they mentioned any rejection reason to you? How are you approaching it?

That's what happened with me. I wasn't really optimistic about it. Just shot an arrow in the dark and it worked out

I got my first Infinia in March 24 through offline route. Knew the area head of Gurgaon who helped me upgrade my DCB Metal after meeting the spend criteria. In June 2024, I shot an email to grievance redressal for an additional Infinia/Diners Black card as the 15k monthly cap was too low for me. They offered the Diners Black Metal which was approved within a week by the end of June 2024. Spent ~8L since on the diners card and again wrote an email to upgrade the card to Infinia. It was processed within a week without any CIBIL enquiry and delivered to me within 10 days of the email. The process was quite smooth for the 2nd infinia. Planning to get a 3rd if monthly 30k cap seems low for me 😛

Update: PNO Approved the Infinia Upgrade Request!!

Few doubts about the upgrade form. Please confirm:

1. There is 'Limit increase' and 'Upgrade with Limit Increase' options. There is no separate Upgrade option. Should I tick upgrade with limit increase?

2. There are two checkboxes and a number box for Autopay. Should I leave them blank?

3. There are multiple options under 'I have submitted the following documents' like Salary A/c no, C4C, Hl Bundle, Fd lien... Should I leave all of them blank?? I do have salary account with them, but the upgrade is purely based on spends. I am not submitting any document apart from the form.

4. On another note, they did not ask consent for anything, just mentioned that they have approved and told to submit the form. Should I write that I consent etc...?

    If they have mentioned send upgrade form with supporting income documents ,then yes you may have to submit them as well. Or if they said just send the upgrade form, just fill in basic details and send the form to them.

    Firstly, congratulations!! Doubly so, since you were way tooooo keen on getting this card.

    As regards the Q&A:
    1. Upgrade with limit increase.
    2. Hardly matters. If opting for autopay, you can do it later as well via Netbanking.
    3. I know of people – including me – who needed to send nothing at all. However, you may consider attaching documents here. However, if you happen to leave them blank, do mention that you’re not sending any docs alongwith since your upgradation is on a spends-basis.
    4. Immaterial.

    Congrats! I know how keen you were for this upgrade.

    When you wrote to PNO did you get any auto mailed acknowledging the email?

    Also what was PNOs response time?
     
    I received below on pushing them thrice for upgrade and asked to fill the form :

    On receipt of your mail we had liased with the concerned department for review and wish to inform you that we will be able to review your request for Infinia Metal credit card at pricing: First Year Free i.e. Joining Fee : Nil, Renewal Fee: Rs. 12,500.00 + GST

    Is it approved or can be rejected
