Infinia smartbuy showing economy and premium economy only on flight booking

Hello Champs

I need a liitle help on my flight booking using infinia card.

While we go on flight booking in smartbuy it have only 4 caterogy economy, premium economy, 1st and business class
While i was booking flght from air india , on air india site within economy there are 3 caterogy economy basic, ecomony plus and economy flex.

Using infinia if i choose econony it says no baggage which is economy basic but dont gives option to choose other economy category
Hoevver if i choose premium economy the price for significantly hight then ecomony plus and economy flex even though it has baggage

Is there any option /way so that i could choose ecomony plus and economy flex. from smartbuy

can also book through support or conceirge, try once.

u can also upgrade after booking ticket using PNR on that airline website directly or during web check-in. U won't get 10x reward points but if it didn't shown during booking then smartbuy won't support that and u have to find alternative.

These are the issues at the aggregator's end and a bit at smartbuy portal's end. Most of the times OTAs only pass-on single category of fare within a particular class of travel to smartbuy portal as opposed to multiple category of fares available on their own direct site/app. It could be either a technical issue at OTAs' end and/or the design / limitation of smartbuy portal itself.
I have seen similar issue for Etihad airlines fare in economy class displayed on Smartbuy portal which is economy basic but which does not have checked-in baggage allowance and there is no way to purchase additional baggage / choose higher category of fare for Eithad while booking on smartbuy portal (such as Economy Value which is about INR 1500-2000 expensive than Economy Value) which is inclusive of checked-in baggage. If one by mistake books Etihad flight on smartbuy portal in economy class with economy basis fare and thinks that they will separately purchase checked-in baggage on Etihad website, it will cost about INR 16K for 20KG, which many times will be more than the cost of the flight ticket itself! Luckily, I never fell into this trap. I sent emails to Smartbuy and OTA to rectify this. Smartbuy passed the back upon OTAs and stated that they only display what has been provided by OTAs and they dont have control over this subject. And OTAs have no idea how to respond in the first place! Only last month, i have seen that cleartrip has started showing Economy Value fare for few Etihad listings which is inclusive of checked-in baggage allowance. So, for your particular search, you may check and see if the cleartrip listings on smartbuy portal has baggage or not.

I personally avoid purchasing gift vouchers of OTAs for the purposes of flight ticket booking as there are several terms and conditions that one needs to be careful about. Some specific gift vouchers of OTAs cannot even be used for flight ticket booking or some do not allow normal discount by use of coupon codes.
