Insurance Standing instructions on Amex platinum

If i activate standing instructions on my Amex platinum card for insurance payments. Will that be counted towards milestone? I know insurance spends will be counted, but I am specifically asking for SI.

AFAIK, You cannot activate standing instructions on platinum (or charge cards). Try it but it wont allow you.

Looks like its not just platinum, SI wont work for any amex card.

wow.. thats news.. also good in a way.. many billers don't accept amex and many amex ccs are not held for very long.. so win win win
