OD is ok, it's a credit limit based on security submitted in a bank normally. You will transfer money from OD to savings account on 3rd day and apply through ASBA. If ipo not allocated, you will return money on 3rd day. You will be charged for 3 day.
Normal OD rate is max FD rate+2-2.5% on various bank.
If you go for main board IPO BHNI(10L+) you will get 2L+(min SHNI lots) share. Currently in a medium size ipo(500-1000cr) application wise IPO in BHNI getting subscribed 15-25times in a good ipo.
So if luck favour you can recover your interest and make a good profit else bear some interest.
