IPO Allotments :)

Just want to understand more. Isn't it better if we use a linked fd instead of OD then? Because in BHNI all your fds won't break and you would save on interest. Whats the FD Rate you are getting on the FDs kept as collateral?
Linked FDs will be better if those are not broken for UPI mandate/ASBA and where you don't get allotment. If you get allotment and your objective is listing gain, then OD is better.

I use Kotak ActivMoney for IPOs like SME where you never get allotment 😂
And FDs break only if I get the allotment and the amount is deducted. Even if the amount gets deducted I can credit the same amount or higher within same day before midnight the FDs won't be broken and they will continue.

Kotak & I think ICICI as well has this facility and they do Sweep In FD settlement at midnight.
I earn 7% on Kotak that's 1% less but can use 100% of the amount and do not need to pay any interest.

I feel OD is great if its backed by Stocks/MF or illiquid property. I don't get the logic of FD backed ODs for IPO.

I added 2.67L to my HDFC Savings Max Account to apply for the Standard Glass IPO as HNI but HDFC created an FD of all funds above 1.25L and my Autopay UPI Payment Failed

What should I do now?

Looking forward to standard glass and quadrant tech. Although the ipo size is small, chances of allotment in retail will be high comparatively.

Yes! 2 HNI and 3 Retail
if you are applying in retail for oversubscribed IPO.. no benefit if you go beyond 1 lot.. so apply only 1 lot in retail.. try to go towards bHNI as sHNI is the most difficult category from allotment point of view.. in sHNI as well anything above 14-15 lots (you have reach limit of 2L+) is not going to give any benefit..
