Is debit card auto renewed and dispatched?

after my corporation bank account merged with union bank of india, the debit card expired.

1) is the debit card autorenewed and dispatched after expiry? or does it depend on bank to bank whether to send or not? bank manager says that i have to apply for a fresh card.
2) can anyone share the pno email address of union bank? i can find email of only chief grievance officer.

Depends on bank. SBI and BoM bank did not send me auto renewed cards. I had to request then by visiting branch.

SBI has sent an SMS that it will be sending a new debit card. PS. Expiry is in July 2023

in my case, the card shows generated on the web portal, and when showed to manager, he says that he doesn't know about this, and says maybe it was generated by the system!

I think Debit cards are renewed just like Credit cards & are send to either branch or home address.
I had received renewed SBI DC at home address without any application

same with me and SBI. in just want to make sure that the manager is not giving false info to increase his branch's numbers, because i can see the new card generated on web portal and also got an sms to activate it.
