Is it safe to share PAN card number over email?

Hi,

My CRIF Score is not visible on CRED for a reason. I tried contacting their customer support team. They told me that we need to fetch the score on your behalf. I gave them permission. But they are asking for my PAN details as well. Should I share it? Is it safe?

I was thinking to just give them the number.

Those scores don't matter much. What matters is Cibil.

And yes, without PAN, how will they fetch?

I suggest you to not use Cred. It's an useless app, which sells data of it's customer base.
Agreed

However the best way to use it is disable all intrusive permissions (SMS/E-mail Access) and use it.

The Cred store details are unbeatable and offers the best savings. I have got tons of items @₹1 via Cred's recently launched groupbuy feature (now they don't give those ₹1 deals however they always come up with some innovative and disruptive offers)

Also I use Credpay as it offers nice savings on various merchants (for example the Cred boost gives 40%, 50% off often on merchants like Country Delight, Licious and others) 😄

So basically I use an iPhone so cred doesn't have access to my messages (not sure if I have given permission for contacts or not, will check it) and for emails I use filters with which I only forward Credit Card Statements. But okay.

So CRIF don't matter much? So should I not share my PAN with them?

Can also vouch for CRED Pay. Makes it seamless. 👍
