Is there a cooldown required between an application and an upgrade in HDFC?

Back in November, I was casually checking if Tata Neu offered me their cards LTF, which led to an enquiry. After seeing price, I did not proceed with the application. I also received a mail saying your card is provisionally approved. Ignored it.

I know that there are cooldowns between application-application, and upgrade-upgrade. But is there a cooldown between application-upgrade? I am planning to ask Infinia upgrade in Jan 1st week, and now I am overthinking if I did a blunder by checking in Tata Neu. Please help with the above.

As upgrade happening through hdfc app or over Email so cooldown doesn't matter. But after an upgrade for new application 6 months needs to be passed.

So between new application and upgrade there is no cooldown if offer is present( Generally offer start coming post 3-6 months only on new card but if anyone get prior to 3 months still upgrade happens)

And between an upgrade to new application 6 months cooldown will be there.


As your case you will be asking for upgrade to Email team so go for that as it would be clearly based on your spending criteria/pattern etc thing but not on old application time.

Go for it nothing to worry, you just checked your pre-approved offers, the application number isn't generated.

Yes, they application will cause some trouble
