Issue regarding ICICI bank Account

Hello all,
Ive opened a savings account with ICICI bank on December 20th the account was activated same day. But the thing is they give me account number but im not able to add it to upi every time it says account doesn't exist. Also my imobile application only showing as a UPI app and linked with my HDFC Bank account. How to overcome this problem?
