I'm currently facing a weird issue with the available credit limit on my HDFC Infinia card. I also have 3 other floating cards from HDFC that share the same limit as that of Infinia. Below is my complete story.
My primary card is HDFC Infinia with a credit limit of 15L
In addition to Infinia, I also have Biz Black, Tata Neu and Swiggy cards from HDFC that share the same credit limit of 15L.
In addition to the above cards, my wife has add-on cards for Infinia (same card number as primary) and Tata Neu (different card number) with same combined limit of 15L.
We also have HDFC savings accounts.
Recently, I tried to apply for Pixel card for my wife ( I don't have Pixel card) from Payzapp app from her mobile. During the process, after entering the details, the app showed that since she already has a HDFC card, need to split the credit limit (15L) and asked to choose the limit. I remember adjusting the slider to split the credit limit as 7.5L(Tata Neu addon card) + 7.5L (Pixel card) . After setting the card limit and submitting on the app, it said processing for infinite duration and did not come out of the message. I later closed the app and when opened again, it shows that the card is under process and will get back after some time. At this moment, in the HDFC net banking app of my wife, under the cards section , for Tata Neu card it showed a limit of 7.5L.
After a week or 10 days, When I checked again, the Payzapp app did not show any previous application for Pixel card, but showed a link to apply for Pixel card again afresh. Now, when I applied again, after entering the details, the app showed that since she already has a HDFC card, need to split the credit limit (7.5L) and asked to choose the limit. I remember adjusting the slider again here to split the credit limit as 4L(Tata Neu addon card) + 3.5L (Pixel card) . After setting the card limit and submitting the application, the process was smooth this time and Pixel card got issued with a limit of 3.5L and the limit of Tata Neu card was shown as 4L on HDFC app.
Now the first question is how come the limit got split from Tata Neu card in both cases once from 15L to 7.5L and again from 7.5L to 4L that too for an addon card.
Now the available credit limit on my Infinia and all other cards was reduced drastically to under 2L while the Total credit limit is still shown as 15L.
As on date, the spends on all my cards is around 3.3L, but the available credit limit shown is only 75K.
Where has the balance credit limit gone.
I tried to make a transaction of 1L on Amazon and it got declined.
I've raised this with HDFC and is under process from 7th Jan with an initial resolution date as 18th which again got extended to 28th Jan.
Any inputs on this issue will be helpful and appreciated.
