Issue with SBI Cashback Credit Card Bill Payment Process

Hi Team,

I’ve been using the SBI Cashback credit card for over a year, and I’m facing an ongoing issue with the bill payment process.

The problem arises because the cashback is credited after the statement is generated, but the statement does not account for it. As a result, when I try to pay the total bill amount (including the pending cashback), the system doesn’t allow me to pay more than the outstanding amount mentioned in the statement.

This forces me to repeatedly contact support to resolve the issue, which is inconvenient and time-consuming.

Could you please look into this and provide a solution or guide me on how to avoid this issue in the future?

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Hasit Singh

Brother you could've simply written your query instead of taking AI help.

SBI considers cashback as a payment towards your CC bill. So just pay the rest amount. No need to call CC or anyone.

remaining options:

first pay the remaining amount (after deducting cashback), wait for it to settle to your account.

now, call support and ask for amount due. If they mentioned, anything else tell them about these excessive payment errors.

After paying this, no due will be there, also that paid green tick will be visible post 2-3 days of payment

Same happened with me... My cashback accrued didn't allowed me to pay the bill... Tried everything from pillar to post but all transactions failed.. so many reversed entries in bank statement...
Then I tried paying directly from my SBI account (sparingly used) through yono app and it sailed through easily...
I was though sceptical that it might also get reversed and keep checking for few days but to my relief it's ok now
