Jio Recharge plan Hike

I have around 5 number

1. 2999 ongoing + 2999 upcoming
2. 1559 ongoing
3. 1899 ongoing
4. 239 ongoing + 239*6 upcoming + 2545 upcoming.
5. 799 ongoing.

Should I upgrade to postpaid will I be able to get some savings and good benefits? Have been using prepaid only never trusted postpaid due to bill payment and maybe additional tarrif fear.
Jio restricts the maximum sizze of a family to 4 only as against 10 by Airtel. So for 5 you will need to create 2 family plans or 1 family plan and 1 single user plan. As indicated, for 2 numbers you already have long term queued recharges. So till that time, those should continue as they are. The remaining 3 you can consider shifting to postpaid about 15 days prior to expiry of current recharges for each. Only the first one needs to be primary family plan. Rest can be added as child plan subsequently one by one.
Interestingly, old postpaid users are still enjoying earlier tariff. And Jio allows both partial payment of bills as well are prepayment. So it is possible to get maximum leverage of all offers from different sources.

If I'm correct jio stopped prepayment last week. Can you confirm?

Convert all numbers to family postpaid 449 plan (1+3). Your mthly total bill will be 880 and you can save further 100 via Amz Rupay friday offer. So your annual cost will be only 9363. You will get total 90 GB/mth 4G data and 5G UL
monthly bill wont be 880. It will be 1060. 880 is for 1+2. For 1+3 pax, it is 1060 (499+450+ tax)

I am on earlier plan before rate hike. For me its 399+99x3. They had increased 399 to 449. Seems they have also increased child SIM cost from 99 to 150, that I did not know. But even then, with Amz Rupay offer it would be 960/mth and 11520/yr against 14K+ for prepaid.

Why don't you account amzn ruplat offer in case of prepaid 🙂

Just don't! Jio will steal your money and you'll be left dealing with absolutely useless people who will keep you go round in circles. The account balance for my account was never adjusted even after 6 bills. I paid over and above what was due to just get back to prepaid. The excess balance and bill payment is still not returned.

rule is simple:

if you and your family need daily unlimited data, then postpaid preferred , under family relationship, you'll save more.

but if you and most of your family uses limited data and relied on wifi, then continue prepaid to save more.

note: total members must be 3 or more for postpaid to save.

Any offer/trick if there is no active plan? I recently exhausted the old plan which was set up with Jio Autopay but they have now replaced it with an expensive plan

1899*4 = ₹7596

449+18%(not sure)*12 = ₹6360

Isn't postpaid better? I'm not sure if there are any hidden additional charges.

If I use Rupay Platinum I'll save around ₹1200 more on ₹6360.

Max I'll save on ₹7596 is 5% ig that too via AGV.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

449 is for single sim, add on sims are charged at 150 each. So total cost per sim is 225 if you consider 1+3. Total cost for all 4 sim per month = 899 + 18% gst = 1060
