Hi all, has anyone been a member of or does anyone know about Karma membership? - https://karmagroup.com/membership/
It's a timeshare program. They are offering 1 week stay in any of their properties (4 members) + 165 points per year for 3 years in exchange for about 1.3L INR. Although redemption varies based on various factors, you can assume that 165 points per year will give around a week's worth of stay for 4 family members.

These are the exact details (I've copied their WhatsApp message) -

I am Karma Group member and my plan is for 25 years. I joined it in March only.
You can DM me for more details as I know it will be a long discussion for sure.

It’s a scam. All of the timeshare programs are. I suggest staying as far away as you can from stuff like this.

The people who get into stuff like this end up doing MLM like the guy who posted above me to recoup their losses.

I am not doing any MLM and it's not a scam. I am enjoying this membership. I will just be sharing my experience with the guy.
I agree most of timeshare programs are big time SCAM.

I will simply say one thing. Don't go for this if you feel hesitant. No offers are worth if you are living in anxiety.

Don't pay 1.35 L upfront for 3 years, later you never get your choice of hotel rooms when plan to book, they will tell those are already booked even before 3-4 months before. Better divide those to 45k per year and happily stay in most of the 5 star hotels for paying around 9k-10k per night. You will be more than happy.

I've stopped paying for promises.

A promise of a better stay in the future.
A promise of luxury holidays in the future.
A promise of insane returns in the future.
A promise of a better life, again, in the future.

These promises will only be valid if there's a future of the company you're investing in.

Want some leisure? Love travel? Book your hotels right away.

Want to invest? Go invest in Mutual funds/stocks/FD/gold, whatever you like.
Take that money out and book whenever you want to go then.

Don't mix investing and leisure together, it most likely will hurt you later as the promise might not get delivered and you would regret the decision.
