Late payment by 6 days

I thought I have made b my ICICI CC payment in cheq app but I have made payment to my friend's credit card .I realized this after 6 days and made my ICICI credit payment late by 6 days. What would be the effect of this 6 days late payment on my credit score .Is there any way to request ICICI back not to report as late payment.Does RBI give any grace period for not reporting as late payment. I have never made a late payment in my 17 years of credit card usage.

Try your luck by personally talking to the BM of the ICICI Branch where you have your accounts - in case you have.

If not, write an email. And, hope for the best.

Usually, such late payments are reported by default in an automated way. And, very rarely, they are not reported.

If reported, it will have a bad impact on your credit rating for the next 7 years.

Btw, why did you add your friend's CC in your Cred ? Are you sharing it ? Or, you are giving a helping hand ?

At least now, with this experience, try to avoid doing so, in future.

Nothing just bear the impact of 99/% payment on time should be back to normal in 3 months time

It will take 2 months to bounce back.. talking from personal experience with icici credit card.

RBI gives 3 days Grace period which is crossed in your case.
