Late Payment reminders

I have been a CC user since 10+years. I have never missed any payment (800+on CIBIL). This month, somehow, I missed the payment on 2 of my new Credit Cards. I am hoping that I can request them to reverse the information they must have sent to the rating agencies by now. And secondly to reverse the charges as well.

1. PNB - I got to know about this 5 days post the due date through their message. They did not send me any reminders in those 5 days. I have paid the bill after 5 days.
2. AU Bank - They did not send any notification about bill payment through SMS/Email/Call at all. I only got to know about 25 days later when the card was declined.

Are their any RBI guidelines on payment reminders which banks are required to send?

Is there any way I can clear this mess?

No the reminder service is provided by banks on a best service basis only no rule by rbi

There is probably nothing one can do, if due date is missed by 3 days (max). Until 3 days, one can talk to RM or to the customer care and can fix the mistake if we are lucky. The customer care has all the rights in the world to decline the request to fix the issue.

So CRED doesn't do this? ( I am not a cred user, but heard that cred app reminds about bill payment).

Another way is to make the bill date same for all cards. Make it like 10-14 of each month so that payment date is end of month. Easy to track also.
