LIC premium Online payment after due date

I have an LIC renewal due tomorrow (28th Oct) and the premium is 26,000. I was planning to pay through Amazon and since I've already completed 20k on my MRCC for this month, I was thinking I will pay early next month (Apay vouchers via Amex Gyftr) as there is the 1 month grace period for insurance.

However, my dad tells me today that after due date, the online payment option will close and I have to go to the LIC office in person to pay. Can anyone confirm this? I never want to go to LIC office in my life :/

You can pay even after due date in online, no issues. I paid through Amazon. You can also do through Amazon or any other bill fetcher.

With in one month of due date we can pay without any penalty

Grace period of one month will be available without any fine.

After grace period fine will be added and you can pay the total amount online

There is a 30 day grace period and I have paid directly on LIC website and via Neu during this grace period.

Yes, I never pay any premium by due date. I always take advantage of grace period.

I visited once when taking the policy. That was enough 'change' (scarring) for lifetime

Have paid after about 20 days of due date for my parents from Amazon app using Amazon pay last month. No issues.

for monthly premium, grace period is 15days and for quarterly, half-yearly or yearly it's one month

AFAIK, an LIC agent receives commission on a policy till the policy expiration/maturity. With some policies extending decades, these "heroes" are well seated.

I meant a term policy and these guys don't even know whats the role of insurance.
