She is a DSA (Direct Selling Agent). Don't ever apply cards via phone calls that you recieve. Their words have zero value. If you want an axis cc then apply directly via axis website you will see some LTF and some paid cards their and keep in mind never ever trust a person who is selling a credit card to you.

Don't trust them just by over call.

Ask them if it's really LTF then to drop you an email with their official email id and then go via that route applicable for all bank CC.

He is right. You will see your pre-approved offer in netbanking offers section. Always ask in this cummunity before applying for any card until you get experience.

Even I got the call yesterday saying LTF from the same cards that you mentioned. I asked them to send me the same on the mail after which they asked me to get another LTF cards other than Axis ones.

Sometimes even banks call us saying we have pre-approved cards. How to identify which are the direct selling agents and which are the banks?
Its easy. If a bank is geuinely giving you a pre-approved offer based on your relationship with the bank then you can see this offer in mobile app/net banking and even ask the bank customer care directly. Also offical calls don't come from personal numbers.

Truecaller is your best bet. Usually if someone from the bank is calling, Truecaller shows them as verified, whereas if someone is pretending to be talking on behalf of the bank, almost always you'll see thier profile as red, which will signal you to be more cautious.

Of course there are false positives and negatives, but, more often than not, you'll get a decent idea about the credibility of the caller beforehand. And with time you'll be able to distinguish between real and fake much more easily.

Also, usually these Direct Selling Agents offer CCs from multiple banks. So, let's say the person offers you a LTF card from SBI, and you respond to that by saying you already have a CC from them, they'll likely say - Ok sir, would you like to apply for a HDFC card, etc. This is a dead giveaway of their identity. Just block them right away and report them on truecaller so that thier next target is also alerted.
