Ltf conversion denied by bank

Dear members

I have kotak myntra credit card from last 7 months and it is paid.

I mail for convert this card tk life time free but they denied and say you have to meet the annual sepend criteria. Also i donot use this card too much. Already have cashback and ace as good cashback card.

So what can I do will have to wait and mail again or have to close the card before 1 year.

@chandra.prakash Better to wait and lastly again request through all medium, if it won't work, put a closure request and then ask with retention team. After this, if you will get neg response, then it's your call to re-use or close the card or downgrade.

One question you have directly applied for this card or upgraded your previous card.

Let me know the update on this matter.

It's a fairly new card issued by Kotak. I doubt they will accept requests for LTF this early. If you don't plan to use it, better close it.

Kotak wont convert co-branded cards to LTF how much ever hard you try bro.

Call customer care and ask them to convert to any other card for LTF.

Note :- they take your request to LTF if your spends are high on Kotak card , if u r not using the card , then my idea is of no use, sorry.

It seems Kotak will close cards directly based on email confirmation and some of its cards closure request do not merit calls from retention team. Kotak will decide which cards closure merit calls to customer from customer retention team. This is what I got after I received call from their Nodal Office team . They also do not make co-branded card like Kotak IOCL card LTF.
