Magnus Fuel Spends: Fuel surcharge waiver or points?

Can someone please clarify regarding fuel spends on AXIS Magnus. A friend of mine and myself got the card last month and noted a pattern. While I filled up 4000 worth of fuel, I didn't get any points but instead got a refund of about Rs. 40 back. He, however, filled fuel worth around 4500 and got points for the same.

Since this happened twice, I am assuming there's some barrier till 4000. I will refill above 4000 next month and confirm this. Till then however, can anyone confirm this is the case.

Just checked, haven't received points for 3000 fuel transactions. You can probably use HP Petrol Pay app instead.

Did you check by refueling?
