Marriot Gold (through Amex Platinum Charge card) + HDFC Marriott Bonvoy card

Has anyone tried to combine Marriott Gold membership (availed through Amex Platinum Charge card) with HDFC Marriott Bonvoy benefit?

Marriott Bonvoy Status nights through Amex Plat Charge Card - 25 nights
Marriott Bonvoy Status nights HDFC Marriott Bonvoy Credit card - 10 nights

Do they work together? and will holding both the cards give you 35 status nights and will only require 15 nights to move up to Platinum level? Anyone tried this route yet?

You don't get 25 Elite Night Credits with the Platinum card, you just get the Gold Elite status.

Sounds interesting considering they take up membership number while enrollment.

So basically it would be Gold Elite + 10 status nights not 25 + 10?

Yes, and you'll need to stay 40 more nights for Platinum. But you will get Gold benefits until you reach Platinum status.

Are you sure? My friend is holding Platinum charge card and he gets 25 status nights just by holding this card.

Yes I'm 100% sure. The Platinum card only gives you elite status, not elite night credits.
