IDFC wow is a joke in the name of visa infinite. Another cc comes under visa infinite from niyo global sbm bank against fixed deposit, forgot the name. That's also a joke.

Yes WOW is the odd one out.

Still, being an easily accessible card, the value it offers is still good, with 0 forex, RSA, and BMS B1G1 monthly is gold, even for a 20k FD.

I don’t think the variant makes any difference whatsoever. It all depends upon the specific bank and their terms. All these are marketing names. Earlier, gold was the highest standard (in the US). I had to save to have $100,000 deposit needed to become a Citi Gold client and get gold debit and credit cards. Later they brought out Platinum and then Titanium and so on. Today, it makes no difference just like these other variants like Elite.

What banks offer as a part of their card features is what matters. For eg. Infinia & IDFC First Wealth both are Visa Infinite and we know the diff. between these two. Every MC & Visa variant comes with some inherent privileges like price protection on MC World Elite while in India Visa offers 500 Rs off via Visa Infinite Program on BMS.
In US, Visa & MC come in only 3 tiers, Visa- it's Traditional, Signature & Infinite and MC - Standard, Word & World Elite. In India, MC comes in 4 tiers and Visa 5 (may be to make us feel privileged). In short, MC World=Visa Signature & MC World Elite=Visa Infinite rest all can be categorized under traditional or standard.
