It is indeed a bad deal . It is better to do FD for 5 lakh in some good bank at roi 6.5pc and you will get around 32.5k . With the interest , you can get many fee based card including eterna .
BOB is good as long as you do not have any issue . BOB branch has worst support .

I'm thinking about moving from HDFC to BoB as my primary account, specifically to the Masterstroke Lite variant. Bob opened new branch near me. I already had a Bob Lite account at 25km away branch and Premier CC. I guess I can downgrade later if needed, maybe to a Family Banking or Super Savings account. I already have two family members with HDFC Preferred.

I'm already maintaining a similar AMB with HDFC for Preferred status, but there aren’t many benefits. I'm also stuck with the MoneyBack Plus card for more than two years.
