Guys, will The below process work? :

1. buy acko health insurance
2. Pay through credit card for the insurance proposal
3. When doctor calls, say ur 40 and diabetic using insulin(very important to mention Insulin)
4. After 2 days acko will cancel the insurance and refund the money.
5. Meet magnus milestone/create spends through this

Have been rejected twice this way already. Third time in the process of trying for higher premium amount ~ 60k .

On 2nd thoughts very few health insurance providers will actually give you health insurance for being diabetic on insulin @ 40 so there are many organisations where we can try this to see if they give return as imps maybe.

1. You are getting refund back to your credit card, how does this help?
2. Usually health insurances do ask if you have been previously rejected and acko will definitely keep tab on your help in backend

I am actually looking for answers myself. That msg from ICICI looked like the spend was generated on the cc statement. Also acko will ask but first it will let you pay.

If it gets accepted then I get good insurance 🙂 , if it doesn't then maybe I can do higher amount of manufactured spend 😀

Also for my ICICI saphiro card I got below message from ICICI. Does this mean that it will reverse the points ? Or did this work? View attachment 20316

You mentioned you were rejected twice. What happened in these two cases, did you get reward points even after the refund? And which card did you use to make these two payments?

Anyway I did the 60k transaction on magnus for the latest proposal and got reward points. Let's see what happens when acko rejects my proposal and initiates refund.

I think you should focus energy on becoming a non -diabetic via food control an exercise. Health is wealth .

These points are too small to get into such hassles from mental peace point of view.

Also you can buy term plan for mental peace.

Lets suppose you got rewards also and your refund also.

But the main issue here is you might be hotlisted by insurance company. And in future, I pray you should not, but gets hoapitalized and then you raise a claim, yiur claim will be rejected. You have to pay by pocket.

See this insurance companies in Indian are the worst. They are interconnected. They will find a one mistake and reject your claim.

So please do not indulge in such tactics.
There are lot other good methods to earn rewards.

I hope you understand my point.

Yes, but again, it depends on the mode of refund.

Agree 100%

Aditya Birla Health insurance people provided me with a link generated on razorpay. I paid Rs 63185 for this "Aditya Birla Health insurance policy" some 3 years earlier using ICICI Amazon Pay Credit Card and got 1% reward points as amazon pay balance. They probably did not get my credit card details.

They did not accept the policy due to critical illness of my mother which I had already declared to them. They offered something different to which I did not agree and asked for a refund. They asked for refund bank details and I supplied them with my Hdfc bank account to which they transferred my sum using Imps.

So, I was left with a net gain of Rs 632.00 as the payment and refund modes were different.

But I think that this should not be the case with online payments. They will refund your money to the same account and the transaction will be zeroed out and you won't stand to gain anything. But who knows, I could be wrong here.

Thanks..

Let me know which one you finalize based on r & d.
