Multiple ICICI Cards and credit rating

I got my first BoBCard around Dec 2013, and HDFC MoneyBack May 2015 or so. Then I got cranked up after RuPay credit cards happened 2023 or so, almost simultaneously with credit cards on UPI. In 2023, got PNB in Mar, got BoB replaced with RuPay in Apr/May, then got Kotak in Jun, ICICI Platinum in Jul or something and so on. Got a second Kotak, IndusInd Legend and Platinum RuPay, and IDFC Millenia subsequently.

Then sometime later, the Alumnus Sapphiro LTF came in, which I picked up. ICICI more limit since this is premium. Then ICICI finally started giving Coral RuPay with UPI, so I picked up that one too. And then it gave limit increases multiple times. Currently at INR 6.5L.

Now, I wonder how this shared-limit of ICICI is interpreted. Especially given its generous limit, it can rapidly increase exposure if these are interpreted as independent accounts.

In that case, I think I should probably close one (or more) of them. Any suggestions on what to do? I'm also about to pick up a high-limit card offered to me by Utkarsh SFB, which I have an account with, so I think now's a good time to close ...

I also have amazon pay icici and coral rupay both having 6 lakhs limit at individual level as in my case one is cobranded and another is icici regular card.

But as in your's situation i think both are icici regular cards they must have merged limits.

I also have both accounts visible in my cibil report as different accounts with icici.

You can check yours cibil it must be only one.

I am having recently transacted 1.1 lakhs from coral and amazon pay is still showing 6 lakhs as available balance

I had asked icici team to merge both accounts but they aren't capable of doing that. So asked them to atleast equalise my limit as I had got coral with only 80k limit but after some emails they equalise both cards limit.

Also I saw many times in cibil both spends and current due is reflected different as in cards dues

as far as i know limit is even share with co-branded cards as well though it show different available balance.
as u have spent 1.1l on coral, u can spend only 4.9l on amazon though showing 6l.
this what came i to know here(technofino). correct if need.

I had checked when I utilized 4 lakhs from my amazon pay, icici the coral limit was available to spend on upi and also on app was 6 lakhs as available balance.
I've got like 4 cards from ICICI with 6.1L combined limt,
And even though I've got some unbilled spends on the other cards my Amazon pay shows full 6.1L limit available, but that's not actually true, if you call customer and ask they'll tell you it's all shared even if it shows full limit available, i have

Maybe, I hadn't utilized all limits from both cards fully so don't know but as these were different limits and customer care also confirmed that I can use both cards separately as both having different card account.

Earlier I had Platinum card and coral card merged with same limits that i saw earlier how merge limits was working and in this scenerio it's working differently.

I had asked but they denied earlier, will ask later and confirm again too

Are you getting two accounts reported in cibil or only one?

But in any case this doesn't answer OPs initial question, how does this affect credit exposure on Cibil,
I too am worried about this, as my reported credit limit on cibil is much higher than actual, because of limit sharing by the likes of ICICI, HDFC and Axis

The actual answer for his question is No, as bank also knows if there are two accounts from same bank then it's a merged limits

But it's not always true for all banks,
Amex, SBI and BOB don't share limit between cards, each card has a separate limit there,
Can banks really scrutinize cibil report to this level,

P.s. I'm considering closing my Amazon pay card just for this reason alone

Yes, they do as I also had a hdfc millennia with 2.1 lakhs limit and I showed my icici card limit of 6 lakhs and also sent my salary slips of 1.5 lakhs, they hitted my cibil and then denied despite having more income than required for RG and after getting approval from bm, my rm let me get RG with increased limit of only 3 lakhs

Can someone help me? I have an ICICI Bank Platinum credit card with 3,372 reward points accumulated so far, and I need 4,000 points to redeem. Where would it be best to make transactions to earn the additional 700 reward points, and how much should I spend?
Also, how many days does it take for reward points to be credited?
And are there any charges for redeeming reward points?
