Must have LTF cards

With LTF Cards,

Banks get no money = you get no rewards (or very little rewards)

I was the same like you a few years back, only getting the LTF cards to avoid any charges thinking they're waste of money.

But then I got a paid card and then another and then several more of them.

Let's dive deeper with an example,

You spend Rs.30,000 per month.

With an LTF card, you can get back around 1% which is Rs.300
It's good if you're happy with it, but if you desire more...

With a paid card, you pay Rs.500 but get back up to 7% returns which is Rs.2100
Even after the fees, the returns are much higher than LTF card.

And this is just an example, if your spends are higher, the returns will be even better.

You buy things online? Say hello to a lot more discounts.
You travel a lot? You'll love the free airport lounge viists.
You play golf? Woohoo, you will be in a surprise.

Now, what are the best cards to start with that don't charge insane amount of fees?

Axis Vistara Signature card

Costs Rs.1500 and gets your free Vistara flight tickets on spending milestones.

SBI Cashback Card

Costs Rs.1000 and offers you 5% cashback on almost everything online.

Amex Membership Rewards Card

Costs Rs.0 for the first year and offers you up to 20,000 MR points every year.
(the points can be claimed for Amazon vouchers or free fancy hotel stays)

Amex Platinum Travel Card

Costs. Rs.0 for the first year and offers you up to 68,000 MR points per year.
(free Airport lounge visits, discounts on famous brands and a lot more)

You can choose any of the above cards depending on your spends and they will be a great choice!

Still confused? DM me your spending pattern and we can discuss what's the best card for you. 🙂

Why pay for something that only compels you to spend more ? Lifetime free cards make a lot more sense than chargeable cards. Not only you save annual fees every year, you also save the money you'd have wasted just because you have a premium paid card. Paid cards are only for high spenders. Regular folks including rich and poor alike will still be better off getting LTF cards. If the benefits don't outweigh your spending, paid cards are useless from a financial and a psychological point of view.

Eye opener for all the PAID card holders....I have only LTF CC's and my average return is 8.5% on LTF credit cards which is more than 2.5 times of infinia. How? Let me explain

For my each and every purchase, i find offer between 5% to 10% on one of my LTF CC collection so my average return is 7.5% + 1% reward on LTF card = 8.5% return on all spends without worrying about annual fees or annual spend criterion.

If you find offer between 5-10%, so does others who have paid cards.
you are restricted by the time to spend ( u have to wait for the offer to be available)
where as paid card holder can do the expense even when there is no offer or offer is 365 days available ( like multiplier)

Bro...you didn't get my point...For next two months before making any payment, just check the offers available on cards and whether you have those cards or not.

If you do no have those cards then the amount you would have saved if you would have this free cards then the paid card you have or you don't have.

After this exercise, you will get the point, i am trying to explain

But how do you redeem the reward points? Most of the LTF cards are not cashback cards, they give some reward points. If the spends are spread across different cards, how do you track and redeem the points?

Most people who are commenting and sharing knowledge here are not regular folks. They have spends that are mostly unavoidable and it makes sense for them to use paid cards to get most out of their lifestyle and spends

This is a good list.
Look no further.
You should step into the world of paid cards, rewards, airmiles, cashbacks only if & when you are ready. Not because it will earn you more rewards or cashbacks.
Till then enjoy free rides and don't worry about all this. No one is going to judge you.
