I got a preapproved offer for LTF Millenia with 75k limit on September 2021. I applied, got the card without CIBIL check. At that time my ITR was 5L.
In july 2022 I got my new 18L ITR, i mailed them the upgrade form for Regalia & ITR, in 8 days my request was approved & got a Regalia with 3L limit. It wasn’t LTF but my spends were 3L+ to cross the fee waiver. Later i added my electricity bill, redgiraffe rent to smartpay. After few months i got a call from my RM that you have unused reward points in your “LTF” regalia, please use it before they expire. I was surprised to hear the word LTF & sent a mail to customer care to verify LTF status. They replied back that my card became LTF because of smartpay.
In June 2023 I got my latest 26L ITR, i mailed them the upgrade form for DCB, ITR on 7th june 9:40 pm, I received a response on 8th june that they will get back to me before 16th june. On 9th june i got a CIBIL enquiry & later when I saw hdfc app there was “NEW DINERS BLACK CARD DOM” with 5L limit.
This was the fastest ever upgrade process that i have seen, I’m glad that I didn’t have to mail any physical forms to Chennai office or fight with customer care for upgrade. Till date I haven’t faced any issues with hdfc & everything went smoothly. My RM stopped bothering me with policy sales after I calculated & showed him the XIRR of the plan he was selling. Overall I’m happy with HDFC services.
PS: I’m self employed. My DCB most prolly won’t be LTF & my spends are more than 5L for fee waiver.I didn’t go for magnus yet because most of my flights are Indigo. Received magnus with 5L limit via C2C using DCB coz there’s planned international trips.
Thanks to @TechnoFino & this community without which I would have never known about the manual upgrade form etc. & would have believed whatever conditions RM tells & would still be stuck with Millenia.
