TF Buzz
Yesterday I applied Pre approved HPCl coral credit card in that my name Shows Kiran K
my name as per aadhaar is Kiran H K is any to change name on credit card.

Icici is really stupid.

First they put extra "H" in my middle name and removed my surname.

Later when I asked for correction, at some places they made it single name without spaces and some places they made it twice with both first name and last name as full name.

Even address and official email ids have spelling mistakes.

Wrote them mail many times, but customer care doesn't understand/see the issue.

i have seen cards having wrongly printed name but transactions are successful when correct name is entered. try loading any wallet with 1 rupee to see which name is accepted.
no other issues should arise.

Name doesn't matter when doing online txn like wallets, ecom etc. If you don't believe, give it a try, enter card details & in name box enter noname none or abracadabra or gangadhar shakthiman anything! it'll go through 🤣. I most of the time enter xyf5gjy some random letters, never faced txn getting stuck because of this

I always type '<bank name> customer' or sometimes only initials and as @FinoGuy said name doesn't matter for payment.

Ex: Incase if you didn't believe, do you know you will get 18 or 20 digits as a name for instant bank account kit debit cards. We can't type or remember those digits every time, right?

Same rule applies Debit cards and Credit cards when doing online payment.
ya I always wondered why some apps just require card no. and cvv while others require name on card also.
why are they collecting information that is not needed.

Whenever a cc application gives me a option to choose a name on card, I always prefer fist name only.
why not only last name?! that way your family members cans also use it at places where they check boarding pass name and name on card (rarely happens nowadays, but for spa access i think they still check that. also in international lounges)
