HDFC Credit Cards Need clarification on closing HDFC IOCL credit card and its impact on Tata Neu Plus card

Hi all,

I have two credit cards, HDFC IOCL and Tata Neu Plus, with a shared credit limit. If I close my HDFC IOCL card, will my Tata Neu Plus card also be closed simultaneously, or will it remain active? Your insights are much appreciated.

As for the reason behind closing the IOCL card, it's just a playful plan to pretend I want to upgrade it by threatening the customer care team. It's all in good fun! 😅Thanks again for your input!

You can directly mail grievance team for limit enhancement+ upgrade if your card is 6 mo/1 yr old and no significant LE given.

I have actually tried contacting them multiple times through email, but unfortunately, I haven't had any success so far.

Since my HDFC IOCL card has been over 1 year old and I haven't received any significant limit increase or upgrade offer, I believe it's time to take a more serious approach. Even if the IOCL card gets closed in the process, I still have my HDFC Tata Neu card, so that won't be an issue.

No offence but its not much of an upgrade. Its called Aasmaan se gira, khajoor me atka. Hdfc are pathetic, they don't value their customers.

After a month I got limit increase via email, without any income documents

Yesterday i placed request to close my moneyback + card in hope of getting card upgrade. Had been stuck with same card with same limit for 1.5 years and no LE even after multiple mails
