Hey Folks, I had closed on my axis bank credit card in April 2024, and i have also received the NOC for the same, but still it is showing active in my Credit Reports across all companies either CIBIL, EQUIFAX, etc., back then i have tried to communicate with axis bank regarding the same but everytime they say that there is excess balance of 0.24 due to which there is showing active they have tried to zero it and also transfer it but everytime it got failed, now as it showing over levergae in my CIBIL report, should i file RBI complaint, will i eligible for compensation ?

Yes, if they aren't able to remove, get complaint number from them & mail to pno as well as raise complaint on rbi ombudsman

in past i have already contacted PNO too, also will i eligible for compensation from bank under RBI rule, if you know, kindly tell so that i quote same in complaint
You have closure email/letter that will further make your case stronger. File a RBIO complaint an demand ₹500*no of days since closure as compensation. Ig that's the rule.

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Master Direction on Credit and Debit Cards, card issuers must complete a credit card closure request within seven working days.
Key Rules for Compensation
Penalty Amount: If the bank fails to close the card within seven working days, they must pay a penalty of ₹500 per day of delay to the customer.
Prerequisite: This penalty is only applicable if there is no outstanding balance in the credit card account at the time of the closure request.
Delay Calculation: The timeline begins once the customer submits the request via any authorized mode (helpline, email, mobile app, etc.). "
