I currently have hdfc tata neu infinity ltf and now i need core hdfc card but bank is not allowing it so if i close my current card and get a core card will i get tata neu infinity again or its impossible, anyone tried this?

Hi agree with @helloworld once you close the card HDFC will upgrade your current card with the old variant but they never issue new card again.
My friedn had regalia first upgraded to DCB he wanted Regalia again bank asked him downgrde the card
I need a small help with HDFC card. Not creating a thread since my ask is similar to this thread.
History - I closed Neu Plus in August. It is 3 months now. Other than that, there is no account or card with HDFC.
Now I want 2 HDFC cards - Neu Infinity and Regalia Gold. Can I apply both on C2C basis?
Is there any difference if I go through the same agent or different agents/branches?
If I apply online and they reject my application, is there any cool-off period before I apply again?
(For C2C - I have only APAY 1year old.)

Apply Regalia Gold first via C2C, what limit do you have on Apay?
Apply for regalia gold .. if you get limit for than 1.5L then apply for Tata neu card from tata neu app
How can one get Neu as LTF? it shows 0 JF but around 1500 AF. 🤔
Old offers i know there were, but not anymore i believe. Is there still a way?
Actually I also got it FYF only. But I am planning to use for 6 months, then ask HDFC to make it LTF stating DCB as my primary card for major expenses.
If not I will close it anyway since many merchants have stopped taking payment from Rupay via upi.
I have 10L on apay.
C2C will be ltf. Online get FYF and then ask after 6 months. Not sure if it will work. Or need to meet spend waiver limit 3L

You can try for c2c but many have got lower variant card with less limit
lol, I'll let it go then, not for me. Thanks for the info though.
never heard agents with cool-down period, through them you can apply but be careful with fees and card variant - that's where they messed up.
1. Apply Regalia Gold as C2C
Wait till it complete and received card, then proceed for 2nd card.
