Had a few queries which I wanted some opinions on.
I have a DCB with 5L+ limit which has served me well, decent enough for my needs. However, since HDFC will stop rewarding rent payments from Jan 23, DCB doesn't seem so useful anymore.
Had applied for a magnus via C2C in September which was rejected. I think it was because I had used more than 50% of DCB limit previous month as I had to buy tickets for a family trip.
Officially Axis didn't give any reason and mailed back saying I could apply again within 4 months.
As rent payment would be the primary motive of getting value from the card.
There are three options I am thinking .
1. Reapplying Magnus first.
2. Applying for Vistara Singature/Infinite first ,then applying for Magnus upgrade later next year.
3. Applying Vistara Singature incase Magnus gets rejected again.
4. Any other option I should take.?

Also have an Amex MRCC with <4 L limit.

The reason u mentioned for rejection of Magnus is true, they require 4L+ limit for C2C application (4L+ free limit, In your statement it should be clearly seen as available limit)

4L+ limit and 4L+ free limit is different. Till now, I thought the criteria is 4L+ limit and not free limit. Thanks for clarifying. But from what I've read, they issue cards with 4L+ limit and don't need that as free limit.

Thanks. I am concerned about getting a Magnus reject again. I have a 4L free limit this month. Would it be better to walk up to a branch and apply ?
Had applied online last time.
