Hello Technofino members,

I currently have two credit cards with the following details:

  1. HDFC Millennia
    • Paid variant
    • Credit Limit: ₹3.27 L
  2. SBI Prime
    • Paid variant
    • Credit Limit: ₹64K
My monthly expenses are in the range of ₹10K–₹20K. I feel I’m not utilizing my SBI Prime card much due to its low credit limit.

Recently, I received a pre-approved offer to upgrade my HDFC Millennia card to the Regalia Gold card (first-year fee waived).

For the SBI Prime card, I have the option to downgrade to SimplySAVE, SimplyCLICK, or Pulse.

I’m seeking your advice on what I should do:

  1. Upgrade HDFC Millennia to Regalia Gold and downgrade SBI Prime (if so, which downgrade option would you recommend?)
  2. Keep the cards as they are and continue using them in the current setup.
I would appreciate your suggestions based on your experience or knowledge of these cards. Thank you!

You don't spend that much so RG paid from 2nd Year doesn't make sense. It's better to continue using Millenia.
Downgrade SBI Prime to SimplyClick(Online Spends) or SimplySave(Offline)

  1. Keep the cards as they are and continue using them in the current setup.
HDFC: no change
Share your expenses like fuel, food, insurance, grocery, shopping, etc.

Based on your monthly expenditures, I would suggest you to continue HDFC Millennia (try LTF) and Downgrade SBI Prime to SimplySave Rupay. Also try to get an ICICI APAY (LTF for everyone) as soon as possible.

Note: Why did you make it a WikiPost? It's a straight forward question. It doesn't not require regular updates by others.

Thank you for your suggestions. My expenses are quite limited at the moment.

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll explore these options and adjust accordingly. Regarding the WikiPost, it wasn’t intentional—thanks for pointing it out!
