TF Buzz
Hi everyone,

I need some suggestions on which cards should I keep using and any new cards suggestions for my usage.

At present I have the following cards:
1. HDFC MILLENNIA
2. AXIS NEO
3. AXIS MYZONE
4. BOB EASY
5. BOB HPCL ENERGIE
6. ICICI AMAZONPAY

ALL THE CARDS ARE LIFE TIME FREE, Also please suggest should i close axis myzone, and bob easy? as i am not using that cards, also does the bob hpcl card works on instant bank discounts in sales?

Monthly spends are 1-2k on swiggy zomato, 5-8k online shopping, and 3k fuel expenses, 4k utilities etc
LTF cards preferred, but i am okay with paid card if it gives good returns.
I am okay with any type - plain cashback or reward points

Why do you want to close LTF cards? This will unnecessarily impact your CIBIL.

If you use airtel broadband and even just 1-2k Zomato a month , go for axis airtel cc. It's super savings .

Otherwise unless you specify what you spend on, planned expenses , what you are looking for in a card like lounge access or returns or travel etc , it's not easy to give good suggestions. You have millenia already so sbi cashback which is usually a very straightforward suggestion is also not a good one since it's basically an overlap.

Thanks, i don't have airtel broadband but i have airtel sim,can i upgrade myzone card to airtel ? my expenses are major on zomato/swiggy, amazon, flipkart, myntra and mostly online shopping .
I am looking for a card which provides good cashback on these transactions and also instant bank discounts. i don't need any lounge access,

Please edit your post and add the following :
(1) Your monthly spends: category - wise (such as grocery, online retail, dining out/food delivery etc)
(2) Your preference : plain cashback or reward points? (Both have their own suggestions for cards)
(3) Whether you want only LTF cards or you're okay with fees on cards?
(4) Bonus information :Your credit history (oldest card, CIBIL score etc) and monthly in-hand income (It's fine if you don't want to disclose, just that this information will help in better advice).

done, updated the post

(1) For plain cashback/online shopping: Since you already have HDFC Millennia, that too LTF, it may not be prudent for you to get SBI Cashback card. But keep an eye on Millennia's devaluation as HDFC is reportedly considering devaluing it further. If it loses its charm, you can consider SBI Cashback (paid card), or even HDFC Swiggy (Many users are getting it LTF, you can try). But don't close Millennai as it's LTF. Apay ICICI is a really good card, as it will fetch 5% (for Prime members) or 3% (Non-prime members) on Amazon website/app, 2% on any Apay - registered merchants and 1% unlimited on any other spend. Don't ever think of closing it. It's one gem of a card that has stood firm in many devaluation cycles.
(2) For Swiggy / Zomato : If you can get HDFC Swiggy, it will suffice for Swiggy spends, and Axis Neo will fetch 40% a month on Zomato.
(3)Utilities : If you are in Airtel Ecosystem (Airtel broadband, landline etc), Axis Airtel is a great card. It is 500 + GST annually, but it more than compensates the fees. Great for Airtel ecosystem as well as utilities. In addition to this, you can pay utilities bill on Amazon Pay with any Rupay Platinum Debit card and get flat 20% off upto 100 once every month.
(4) For offline spends upto 10K a month, AU Lit is a good card. Search threads here on TF.
(5) Fuel: I don't have much knowledge here, I, too, am searching threads here.

Don't close LTF cards, as they help lower your overall credit utilisation. No harm in keeping something that's free without any problems.

Thanks for explaining this, very helpful suggestions, Please can you tell more about how to avail that 20% off on Rupay platinum DC,
I was not planning to close millennia or apay icici as these are the primary cards i use.

But i was planning to close BOB Easy and Axis My zone as i already have BOB HPCL and Axis NEO

NEO gives 40% on zomato which is great but myzone is now useless after devaluation, it was offering swiggy discounts earlier. should i close myzone or upgrade it to any other good Axis Card such as Ace or Airtel?

I think Closing them won't affect cibil as both axis cards are shared limit
And also both BOB cards are also in shared limit, so if i close one of them
