I had missed some mails from different banks regarding their change in policy regarding the interest charged on the balance amount. Initially the interest charged was on the outstanding amount after partial payment but now I have come to know that if you pay MAD or even 90% of the total amount due, banks charge interest on the total amount due and not the outstanding amount. It happened to me with Kotak CC, I raised issue with the customer care and nodal officer, both rejected my request Finally, filed complained with Banking Ombudsman, there too my complain was quashed. I want to know, it there anything that can be done regarding this?
