Hotel: Taj Rishikesh
No. of Nights: 3
No. of Guests: 4 (2 Rooms)
Overall Experience:
For someone living in Delhi, Rishikesh is hardly a 6 hour drive from home. As it was off season, the crowd was at best, minimal. Arrived at the hotel a few minutes after my check-in time. The check-in process and overall formalities went smooth. They offered some herbal tea while completing the paperwork. After the formalities, they escorted us to our rooms. The check-in process was swift, with the courteous staff efficiently handling all formalities.
The room was spacious. The staff were night enough to give us an upgrade as there was hardly any crowd. As a part of welcome amenities, there were fruits and chocolates. The chocolates were really good that the plate was empty after 10 minutes (Even the cup was made of chocolate). The room also offered scenic views of the Ganges. One can walk a few meters to the beach and enjoy the strong current.
My experiences with Taj when it comes to food has hit and miss at times. Same was the case here at well. We had an all-inclusive meal plan. They also had a small gym with scenic views. They also offered us complementary spa services as a gesture of goodwill.
Average Fare:
