In the past my primary phone number was ported between most of the cellular service providers like Hutch (later became Vodafone and now VI), BSNL, Airtel, Jio. All of them (except BSNL who doesn’t care whether you stay with them or not) used to bombard you with calls for a week to retain you. My recent request is a welcome change. I received an automated call with a recorded message to stay back. No other call has been received yet. I do receive 5-6 text messages which I ignore.
