No Point in paying Rent by CC

Unless the card you have has no surcharge for rent payment or counts rent payment against some milestone related rewards of joining fee waiver, Rent by cc is now not recommended.
DCB via Red Giraffe or SCB Ultimate is an exception as you will still get sime points after the surcharge.

Rent is a monthly affair so except for first month where u get the 30-45 day credit period from next month it will be a rolling expense.

All banks are charging now because many are using this as an option to transfer cash to themselves or to other people ( not actually rent). The only reason red giraffe has low charge is bcoz getting registered for rent on RG needs lots of documentation including registered rent agreement.

yes true.. plus hw many apps shd we kyc in.. every month some new app shows up.. its v risky as i see it..

I don't think they would stop redgiraffe payments though because transactions there are genuine. The move from banks is to stop money rotation.

Even if the 'rent' opt is removed from BharatNXT, still 'bank transfer/vendor' opt will be there which can be used for paying rent, isn't it?
Also, I think that banks/IT can't know whether we used 'bank transfer/rent/vendor' opt while paying rent on BharatNXT.
