Not getting 5% cashback with SBI cashback card while purchasing egift card

while purchasing egift card in Amazon with SBI CASHBACK CARD I am not getting 5% cashback.

Seller name is always coming as Amazon pay india. Please suggest what to do without using giftr.

You should get 5% irrespective of Merchant name...my last transaction was a month ago and I got 5% with same merchant name

Same have always received 5% with all Amazon merchant names

Important is Which MCC is tagged.

Same Merchant Names may have Different MCC tagged with it.

If you are receiving 1% cashback then for Sure MCC tagged would be of Utility.

Use SBI Yono.

Cards get blocked only for first few Txns on SBI yono.

For me Card was blocked for first 2-3 txns only after that No issues on SBI YONO GYFTR.

If you have ONE CARD purchase gift card worth Rs.10 and check which category is reflecting in OneCard App against such txn

I have noticed two different merchant name when purchasing amazon e gift card from amazon and any other items from amazon.
for amazon gift card - AMAZON PAY INDIA PRIVATE
for any other items - AMAZON PAY INDIA Pvt Ltd

tried with gift card and few other items in same order - AMAZON PAY INDIA PRIVATE

So I think now gift card may not attract 5% cb as MCC may have changed.
It will be confirmed by next month after bill generation.

in December category was electronics but now in march amazon gift card category is shopping.
So I think MCC has changed but its not of utility.

All depends upon Amazon Payment Gateway Mood which is routing txns via different different MCC

I used my SBI Cashback CC on yono gyftr, but got only 3.2% cashback. I purchased Amazon pay gift card worth 250 and got ₹8 cashback on SBI cards app.
