OFFICE EMAIL ID FOR CREDIT CARD

Today i was trying to apply a idfc credit card since its LTF and the application asks for office email id..is this strictly necessary for idfc credit card? im asking cause i will not be able to send external email from my office email id to confirm if they do ask. anyone has experience?

Some banks just need it for records. For example, in HDFC they send 1-2 emails a month for random purpose like OTPs and Transactional messages. No idea if IDFC wants you to send them an email from your office ID like how ICICI asks for some applicants.

For me, ICICI rejected my application in July because they couldn't get a response from my office ID despite telling them ICICI bank (at that time) was not whitelisted by our IT.

No official email id is not necessary.

For me, ICICI rejected my application in July because they couldn't get a response from my office ID despite telling them ICICI bank (at that time) was not whitelisted by our IT.

Same, but I was asked to take the printout of the sent mail, self-attest it and then get it stamped (company logo) so as to make it verified.

They gladly accepted it (maybe because the ICICI guy was in the office and we have sal acc tie-up with them)
